Program Description

This Continuing Education program will provide a variety of didactic topics of clinical interest to nurse anesthetists.

Clinical problems include managing patients with CHF, Acute Renal Disease, Cervical Spine Issues, Alcohol Abuse Disorder, and Long QT syndrome. Technique suggestions are discussed for providing anesthesia for Robotic Surgery and Endoscopic procedures. Solutions are offered for dealing with Noise in the OR, Acting as a Defendant in a Law Suit, Using Selective Relaxant Binding Agents, Caring for patients with cardiac assist devices, Perioperative Stroke: Risk prevention or management.

The program closes with a discussion of Professional Issues and Manpower Challenges, Globalization of the Nurse Anesthesia Specialty, recent developments in the CRNA re-certification process including a glimpse at possible future implications for the specialty.

For program enrichment, we have designed the sessions in a manner that encourages group interaction and participation.

This program also meets the criteria for 6 Pharmacology hours and 11 Clinical Management hours.

A full refund less $150.00 application processing fee may be obtained if notice of cancellation is received in writing or by Email (ipgeseminars@ipge.com) no later than September 13, 2017. No refunds are made after this date. If IPGE cancels the program, a full refund will be provided unless cancellation forced by a natural or man-made disaster (fire, flood, earthquake, strike, acts of God, war or terrorism, or any other cause beyond IPGE's control.) In this event a full value voucher valid for two years from date of issue is awarded. In addition, attempts will be made to reschedule the program within a reasonable time period.

Tuition Refund Guarantee Plan

For a fee of $45.00 IPGE will waive all refund restrictions until the day before the seminar begins. To purchase this option, check the appropriate box on your application form and add $45.00 to your tuition fee. This option must be purchased at the time of registration. NOTE: If you register online, this option appears as a default. Click REMOVE" if you do not want to protect your tuition fee.
